ANY QUESTIONS?

ANY QUESTIONS?

Considering the European Union's objectives for reaching net-zero emissions by 2050, reducing energy demand and increasing energy resilience is essential for the armed forces to ensure a high level of readiness and sustainability.

This project generates a benefit for European defence sector and particularly MoDs and Armies, as they will be able to significantly reduce their energy and associated logistics costs in FOBs

MAIN OBJECTIVE

Strengthen the competitiveness and autonomy of the European Defence industry in the field of energy storage and related technologies applied to forward Operating Bases (FOBs) as well as to help reduce the technology gap between Europe and other potential competitors in the field.

This objective will be achieved by creating a cross-border collaborative framework between European industries, R&D organisations and other relevant entities and bodies, to promote and support the development and operatinal validation of energy storage and associated systems and technologies in the European framework, considering a comprehensive approach from feasibility studies to validation in relevant environments.
